# SAR Trading Guidelines

### What is SAR?

Parabolic SAR (Stop and Reverse) is a widely used trend-following technical indicator that helps traders identify market trends and potential trend reversal points.

The indicator is displayed as a series of dots plotted above or below the price. When the SAR dots are below the price, the market is generally considered to be in an uptrend. When the SAR dots are above the price, the market is generally considered to be in a downtrend.

### SAR Trading Signals

#### Bullish Signal (Buy)

A bullish signal occurs when the SAR dots flip from above the price to below the price. This suggests that the market trend may be changing from bearish to bullish and a potential buying opportunity may be developing.

• Suitable for stocks, forex, cryptocurrencies, and other financial markets

#### Important Notes

• Parabolic SAR may generate false signals during sideways or ranging markets.

• It generally performs better in strong trending markets.

• Consider using SAR together with EMA, MACD, RSI, or BOLL for additional confirmation.

• Always apply proper risk management and stop-loss strategies when trading.

#### Summary

Parabolic SAR is a simple and effective trend-following indicator. Generally, when the SAR dots flip from above the price to below the price, it may indicate the beginning of an upward trend. Conversely, when the SAR dots flip from below the price to above the price, it may indicate the beginning of a downward trend.

For better accuracy, traders are encouraged to combine Parabolic SAR with other technical indicators to confirm trading signals.
